You may have noticed the new Affiliate widget that’s being sported over there in my sidebar. I’ve been using the Swagbucks search engine off and on for a couple of years now, but lately in my work I’ve been trying to remember to use it for research, and my points are really adding up. In another month I should have enough points racked up to do my Christmas shopping.
What AM I blathering about? Well, let me tell you: Swagbucks is a search engine, powered by Yahoo!, that rewards you for searching with points, or “bucks,” that can be redeemed for “swag,” which takes the form of clothing, music downloads, games, electronics, and a bunch of other nifty things that can be found in the Swag Store, including my favorite, gift cards to places like Amazon, Target and Starbucks. You can even trade your points in for straight up cash via Paypal.
There are other ways to earn Swagbucks, too, the easiest being referral points, which I’ll get if you use this link to sign up. If you find yourself having to spend a lot of time on online research, the Swagbucks search engine is an easy way to redeem that time for tangible rewards.
And just to show I’m not just recommending it to get the points, here’s a non-affiliate link for any readers who are allergic to clicking affiliate links.
